At MIH, our daily programme is designed to support well being, independence, confidence and meaningful learning.
All activities are shaped around the individual and draw from our three core activity categories:
Calming, regulating and sensory rich experiences that support emotional well being.
Movement, exploration and hands on experiences that support coordination, energy regulation and confidence.
Structured, practical tasks that build independence, learning and real life skills.
Each of our six activity areas includes a mixture of these categories to give young people choice, flexibility and a balanced day.

Skills that our Young People can gain
Across all activities, young people develop:
Every activity is shaped around each young person’s strengths, interests and pace — helping them thrive in a calm and supportive environment.
Progression & Real Life Outcomes
The skills developed through our activities, from communication and emotional regulation to life skills, routines and confidence, help young people prepare for their next stage. Over time, this supports transitions into education, supported living, volunteering, community participation or future work opportunities.
MIH aims to be a safe and nurturing bridge between childhood experiences and the increasing independence of adulthood.
